Independent Living & Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities

WHAT: The project promotes independent living opportunities for people with disabilities through advocacy, by training Handikos disabled people’s organization branch offices to do advocacy work and by offering legal services to persons with disabilities.

WHY: Advocacy and accountability work can result in sustainable improvements in the lives of persons with disabilities.

HOW: Advocacy training helps DPOs to defend and advance their rights. The project benefits the members of Handikos and through policy making the whole disabled population.

PARTNER ORGANISATION: The project is implemented by Handikos, an organization of persons with physical disabilities.
