Our Themes

Human Rights are universal. States have the legal and moral duty to ensure that everyone – including persons with disabilities – will enjoy their full human rights. Unfortunately, the rights of persons with disabilities are seldom fulfilled. Persons with disabilities are often discriminated against and are left out of decision making processes for example in questions of education and employment.

Our work is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The convention creates a legal foundation for us to face the global challenges of Disability and Development.
